Thanks for the help with understanding the new Walgreens program. :) I'll have to go in and get one of the cards -- easier for me than phone numbers. I still think I like the RR program better. More user friendly, and I could use the RR at HT!

clinton - just call your local store to confirm - but the CVS costume promo should be at all stores (at least those in the Triangle).

  • clinton28328 Oct 15, 2012

is the CVS costume deal on 10/21 for all CVS's? Anywhere I can look up a list of participating stores?

  • jwstevens04 Oct 15, 2012

jdouglas13---the card is like an MVP card at Food lion....the points convert into in-store money, in increments of $5.00. You can then spend those 'points' in the store. You get 500 points for every prescription you fill, then points for certain items in the circular. All in all, I think it's pretty good. Hope this helps!

jdouglas13...you can get a card at any store...you can also join online but you will not get a card. You do not have to have the card when you go into the store you just have to enter in your phone number on the keypad that is for the credit machines. You can redeem your points for cash off your next purchase. You have to have at least 5000 points to be able to redeem them for $5 dollars. Every 5000 points is equal to $5. You can save your points and get more off your purchase of your choice. You do not have to redeem them on your very next purchase. You choose when you redeem them. I have almost 40,000 points and if I chose I could redeem 5000 of them for $5 off or I could redeem 10,000 of them for $10 off my next purchase. Hope this helps.

CVS near Wake Med Hospital has Finish gelpacks & powerballs marked down to $.50 box on clearance table at front of store.

  • Nanee Lion Oct 14, 2012

jdouglas13, I agree. they really like to make it hard to us. The rewards program was so much easier. I went to get me milk and forgot to give my card and they never ask, so milk rang up regular price. Took forever to get the difference back from the computer.

I am so confused by the new Walgreens program. How do you get the card, and what happens with the points? I just can't seem to wrap my mind around it. Wish they'd go back to RR. :(
