— Fayetteville police charged a man Tuesday in a wreck that injured three people on a school bus.

Eric Lamont Bradley, 28, faces one count each of careless and reckless driving and driving with a revoked license. He also was cited for a seatbelt violation.

The wreck happened Friday on Shaw Road in Fayetteville, when authorities say Bradley was speeding and hit the bus head-on.

A student and two adults on the bus suffered minor injuries.

The headline is a little misleading. It makes it sound like the bus driver was charged.

No problem, folks. Here in Fayetteville hardly anyone gets convicted of driving on a revoked license. You can drive on a revoked license here and still be considered as having a good driving record. I saw it happen in court today while monitoring a DWI case. The judge agreed that the DWI defendant had a good driving record in spite of having a DWLR charge. What the heck!!

How many people need to get hurt or killed to make the penalties for driving revoked stiff to the point of lunacy so these lumps will think twice about doing it? He is smiling because he knows nothing is going to happen to him.....he is laughing at authority and the law the rest of us abide by. If you don't want to do the job of reducing crime, then QUIT, move over and let someone else in the seat.
