Driver charged in crash near Raleigh flea market

— Raleigh police charged a driver Tuesday with failing to yield in a crash near Watson's Flea Market.

Police said Stephanie Sands was trying to make a left turn at 1436 Rock Quarry Road when she slammed into another car. Her car flipped, and hit another car just before 7:30 a.m.

No one was hurt.

    Across from the flea market is the headquarters for the Wake County Schools' Transportation Department. There are over 150 buses that park at this facility. Several times a day, a large majority of these buses are turning left onto the complex. A left turn arrow is a must for this location.

    This is why a left turn arrow is needed at this intersection! School buses and cars turn left to enter this facility several times a day! Cars coming from over the bridge go entirely too fast and it creates a very dangerous situation! Does someone have to die to get the arrow at this location! It came close this morning!
