Driver Charged After 11 Injured in Apex Accident

Eleven people were injured Sunday evening in a three-vehicle accident in Apex, police said.

APEX, N.C. — Eleven people were injured Sunday evening in a three-vehicle accident in Apex, police said.

The accident happened at Old Raleigh Road and Apex Peakway, police said.

Most of the injuries were minor, but two people were sent to WakeMed Cary with serious injuries, authorities said. They were listed in fair condition Monday.

Leonel Carreno, 43, was charged with failure to stop and having no operator's license, police said.
