If you have kids in diapers ... or recently out of diapers ... it's likely you have more than a few unused diapers hanging around the house and stuffed into diaper bags. Here's your chance to get rid of them.

TriMark Internet Marketing Solutions has launched the Do Your Dootie Diaper Train event. The firm is working to collect 70,000 diapers for The Diaper Train, a great local group that distributes diapers, wipes and children's books to needy families. Read my earlier post for details.

Anna McNinch with TriMark tells me that the company set the goal of 70,000 diapers because they learned that The Diaper Train was short that amount last year.

"We decided to set our goal to be 70,000 diapers to make up for the families they had to turn away last year," she wrote me in an email.

You can donate your unused diapers by dropping them off at the TriMark building, 611 Tucker St., Raleigh, which sits across from St. Saviors Church where The Diaper Train is located. You also can donate online or by mailing a check. Click here for more information and details.

The firm also is collecting diapers at two events in the next month. The first is noon to 5 p.m., Sunday, at Pop-Up Sunday at Ornamentea, 509 N. West St. The afternoon includes food trucks, a raffle for a chance to win an iPad, cornhole and more.

And from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., May 18, at the TriMark Solution's building, the firm will host a final event with games, music, face painting, food trucks and a bounce house for kids, along with a raffle drawing for a chance to win an iPad.

For details about both events, click here.
TriMark is updating its Facebook page with details about the drive.

Now I'm going to go look around my house for diapers!
