We have two big family-friendly theater productions this weekend.

The first is "Dora the Explorer," part of the new Storybook Theater series. Read my earlier post for more about the series. The show, which opens Friday and continues through Sunday, features Dora, Boots and other friends as they go on an adventure to Treasure Island. There's lots of audience participation in this one.
Tickets start at $14 for the show at the Duke Energy Center for Performing Arts in Raleigh. Kids ages one year and up need a ticket. Click here for details and to get your tickets.

And the Raleigh Little Theatre, near Cameron Village in Raleigh, will present June B. in Jingle Bells, Batman Smells. The show opens Friday and runs on select days through Nov. 17. The show is adapted from the popular early chapter book series. Tickets are $9 for kids 12 and under and $13 for adults.
