WRAL's Kelcey Carlson is working on a story comparing costs on everything from general admittance to cost of supplies to surgeries at hospitals in the region. She's ranked costs with quality of care ratings to give you an overall ranking of a hospital for a particular procedure.
She'll be on WRAL at 5:30 p.m., Monday, with a full report and information about how you can take more control of what you pay. You'll be surprised by the huge gap in cost when comparing different hospitals. Check Kelcey's post to learn more about the story and see a couple of examples of the wide variation.
