— A dolphin died after it was bitten by a shark and washed ashore in Kure Beach Friday morning.

A professor at UNC-Wilmington said the adult male had several bites, including one to the tail that looked rather deep.

People on the beach covered the dolphin with towels and brought water to him before officials arrived. Despite their efforts, the dolphin died from his injuries.

Imagine if the shark was wearing a Confederate flag tank top? The media's heads would explode.

This happens out in the ocean all the time. What is the media trying to do? Create a jaws frenzy. The ocean is their home and neighborhood. They are there and always have been. Meat comes in your house on the plate, and if you don't want to risk being on their plate, just swim in the pool
