Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a fire that destroyed a Wake Forest home on Thursday evening. 

<b>WAKE FOREST, N.C.</b> — Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a fire that destroyed a Wake Forest home on Thursday evening. 

The fire broke out before 6 p.m. at 6808 Moresham Way. It took crews about three hours to put the blaze out. 

The homeowners were not there when the fire started, but firefighters rescued two dogs. The animals were not injured.
