A murder suspect surrendered to Fayetteville homicide detectives on Saturday morning, police said.

Harvey Bernard Gibbs Jr., 35, of 5964 Dalton Road, faces first-degree murder charges in the death of Lakeisha Robinson. Investigators say he killed Robinson in the parking lot of Doghouse Bar, 3049 Owen Drive, on Aug. 20.
Gibbs was being held in the Cumberland County Detention Center without bond later Saturday.
Gibbs served six years in prison for robbery with a dangerous weapon, according to state Department of Correction records. He was released in 1997.
