Dog trapped on Interstate 17 in Phoenix during morning rush hour traffic

A small white dog was escorted off the freeway after it was stuck on the sound wall on Interstate 17 in Phoenix Tuesday morning.

PHOENIX, AZ — A small white dog was escorted off the freeway after it was stuck on the sound wall on Interstate 17 in Phoenix Tuesday morning.

According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, their deputies responded to a call of a dog on the lower concrete wall along the southbound lanes of I-17, just north of Glendale Avenue.

Southbound traffic was stopped for a short time in an effort to get the dog safely off the freeway.
