RALEIGH, N.C. — Dishcrawl, a company that organizes "restaurant crawls," is putting together two more events in downtown Raleigh during the month of March. Guests will explore restaurants and cuisine in the Glenwood South area and the Warehouse District.

The tours are designed to allow chefs to showcase their unique dishes and give them a chance to talk to guests about the food. On the tour, you'll get special attention from restaurant staff while they explain the food and answer questions.

A small plate is served at each restaurant, so guests get to sample the highlights from each venue. After everyone is done eating, the group walks over to the next restaurant.

Out & About was invited to the first Dishcrawl event in downtown Raleigh, and we had such a great time visiting new restaurants and meeting new people.
The Glenwood South crawl is Tuesday, March 19, at 7 p.m., and tickets are $45. Attendees will visit four restaurants in one of Raleigh's liveliest neighborhoods. Although the restaurants are kept a secret until the last minute, Dishcrawl sends out hints on Twitter and Facebook.
Dishcrawl's Warehouse District tour is Wednesday, March 27, at 7 p.m., and tickets are $45. You'll head to four restaurants in the artsy and fun Depot Historic District of Raleigh. Again, the restaurants will be revealed by email a day or two before the event.

Dishcrawl is a fun way to visit new eateries and learn more about the local restaurant scene. Although the company has locations around the country, this is only their second month operating in Raleigh.
