The grand reopening of the temporary American Girl store at Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh is set for July 15 and July 16.

As I wrote last month, American Girl will reopen its temporary store at Crabtree Valley - a few months earlier than it did last year. Last year, the pop-up store was open from October to January. This year, the store will be open from July 15 to Jan. 28.
The 5,500-square-foot store will feature an assortment of American Girl dolls, outfits and accessories, along with a selection of the company’s bestselling historical and contemporary fiction and advice and activity books. The closest permanent American Girl store is in Charlotte, which is so popular it offers hotel packages for out-of-town visitors.

During the grand opening weekend celebration, girls will get a free gift and craft, while supplies last. Shoppers can also enter for a chance to win a 2017 Girl of the Year collection featuring the 18-inch Gabriela doll and paperback book, Gabriela’s accessories and pet cat plush.

Store hours for grand opening weekend will be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., July 15, and noon to 7 p.m., July 16.

Like last year, tickets will be required for entry into the store during grand-opening weekend. If the store reaches capacity for the day, no more entrance tickets will be distributed, according to American Girl's website.

Here's how it will work, according to American Girl: Beginning one hour before store opening on July 15 and July 16, American Girl will distribute entrance tickets for that day. Entrance tickets can be obtained near the store entrance and are valid only on the day they're issued. Entrance tickets for Saturday will only be good for Saturday, same for Sunday.

I know there were some lines last year! The closest mall entrance to American Girl will be Sears and the parking Blue Deck.
