A Wilson County sheriff’s deputy was injured in a single-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon, according to the state Highway Patrol.

<b>WILSON COUNTY, N.C.</b> — A Wilson County sheriff’s deputy was injured in a single-vehicle accident Sunday afternoon, according to the state Highway Patrol.

The deputy was responding to a call just after 3 p.m. when he lost control of the car and crashed at 738 Piney Grove Church Road, near Saratoga.

Paramedics transported the deputy to Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, troopers said.

More details, including the identity and condition of the deputy, haven't been released. <br />
