Sunshine to replace fog late Tuesday morning
Sunshine will replace low clouds and fog Tuesday morning across central and eastern North Carolina, setting up a bright and pleasant afternoon, WRAL meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner said.

A dense fog advisory will expire for much of the area at 10 a.m., and sun should start to break through the clouds during the late morning.
Temperatures will start in the low 60s Tuesday before sunshine warms the area into the upper 70s during the afternoon.
"Once our fog burns off, we'll see sunshine and very pleasant conditions during the afternoon," Gardner said.
A low pressure system off the North Carolina coast will push north during the day, helping produce pleasant weather for the next couple of days.
Sunshine on Wednesday and Thursday will push afternoon highs to near 80 degrees.
A system could produce scattered showers and thunderstorms on Friday, Gardner said, but the weekend forecast includes sunshine and fall-like highs in the 70s.
