Death of Fayetteville 3-year-old under investigation

Fayetteville, N.C. — The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said Friday that a 3-year-old girl was found dead in a Fayetteville home.

First Responders were called to a home at 6441 Emu Drive shortly after 10:30 a.m. after the girl's mother found her unresponsive in a bathtub, authorities said.

The girl’s body will be sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy, and deputies were investigating her death.

No other details were released.

Where was the mother while the child was in the bathtub? Not on the telephone in an other part of the house I hope.
