Spring Lake, N.C. — An anonymous 911 call led to the discovery of a slain 68-year-old man in a Spring Lake home Sunday evening, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators found James Williams dead inside a home in the 400 block of Rutherford Drive around 5 p.m.
Authorities have not said how Williams died or why they suspect his death is a homicide. The state medical examiner will perform an autopsy.
No more information has been released.
