DURHAM, N.C. — Minor league baseball officials have some interest in the Bull City.

The Durham City Council received an update Thursday on the status of the Durham Athletic Park. Minor league baseball officials are considering using the old landmark for a training institute for umpires, announcers and groundskeepers.

Officials also want to build a minor league museum near the park.

The Durham Athletic Park was the location for the movie, "Bull Durham."

While Durham is the only city that minor league baseball officials are considering, officials said it could be months before a deal is made.
