The D.I.G. Challenge, a six-week fitness challenge, launches in Raleigh this weekend and has a great twist for parents who have trouble finding time to work out.

During the six-week challenge, participants will meet from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. for the next six Saturdays at Midtown Park in North Hills for outdoor workouts. Families are encouraged to come together. During the workouts, for $8, Right Time Kids will provide group and team activities for kids attending on the lawn right where parents will be working out with Jojo Polk, D.I.G.'s creator.

During the challenge, participants also are encouraged to follow its meal plan, take part in challenges to win prizes and attend free fitness classes at local studios that are part of the challenge. It's all included in a registration fee, which is $125.

D.I.G. Challenge will host a kids' workout at the Midtown Farmers' Market in North Hills this Saturday. The demo is scheduled for 9 a.m., but the group will be there all morning with more information about the program.

More information is on the challenge's website.
