FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — One man was injured Tuesday afternoon after a driver struck a bicycle and sideswiped a car on Bragg Boulevard.

Investigators said that Renardo Bryant, 31, of the 3600 block of Winesap Road in Hope Mills, was driving a 2014 Chevrolet on Bragg Boulevard near Glenville Avenue when he struck a bicycle ridden by Nick Brooks, 18, of the 6700 block of Candlewood Drive.

After striking Brooks, Bryant sideswiped a 2014 Ford that was driven by Daniel Williams, 27, before running off the road and hitting a line of trees.

Brooks was taken to Cape Fear Valley Hospital for treatment of head and leg injuries. Bryant complained of minor injuries but did not want to go to the hospital, authorities said. Williams was not hurt in the crash.

Fayetteville police said that officers with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Traffic Unit are investigating the crash. No charges had been filed in the incident.
