The HT deal was great but since you can only do it once, most of use (who did it on one of the previous offers) didn't qualify for the most recent offer because we were already pharmacy customers.

The $5 Extrabucks CVS is offering doesn't quite measure up to the (now ended) $200 in free groceries Harris Teeter had for new and refilled prescriptions. I managed to get $160 in free groceries out of this deal. Kmart was also offering $25 in points for 1 prescription.

Make sure to check the generic list for your pharmacy for items you are buying OTC that are also available prescribed such as multivitamins and Folic Acid. This is a good way to max out prescription deals by getting some of these "prescribed". During an inpatient stay in the hospital you might even be given some of the OTC meds that your primary prescriber knows about.

As part of healthcare reform, you now need to bring your prescribed meds to the ER and other outpatient settings as Medicare will not pay for them again (I have this in writing off the Medicare.gov website so don't accuse me of making this up).
