CVS deals today: Guess what I paid for $109 worth of product!

CVS purchases for FREE!

Did you score some of the great freebies and deals at the drug stores today? I did some serious shopping at CVS this morning!

I bought all the items in the picture above, worth $109.17 at full retail, for FREE!!

As you can see, I bought paper towels, multiple Spinbrushes and toothbrushes, toothpaste, pantiliners, baby wipes, gum, laundry detergent, various Advil products, Visine eye drops, Ricola cough drops, black olives, soda, various candy items, Kraft Mac & cheese, Chex Mix and more!

The store was very quiet this morning with only 2 other shoppers at 7 am. I did 2 back to back transactions (there was nobody in line behind me). The products from the first transaction were paid for using a combo of manufacturer coupons, store coupons, $3 off $15 CVS coupon that was sent to me via e-mail from CVS, Extrabucks I rolled from last week's purchases, a CVS gift card from cashing in my Swagbucks points and a $25 CVS gift card from transferring a prescription last week.

I rolled the Extrabucks I earned in the first transaction into paying for everything in the second transaction.  Tax was paid for with remaining money on the CVS giftcard mentioned above.

Thank you CVS! The store at 40/42 was very well-stocked and well staffed with some super nice cashiers!

And it was great to see other Smart Shoppers at the store this morning! For all the deals and coupon links for the items I bought, click on the CVS deals link in the box above.

How did you do at the drug stores today?

As usual, I didn't do as well as everyone else. I didn't have any gift cards or previous ECBs to use, so that might have something to do with it (but it sounds like RFB didn't either, and did tremendous! I'm going to have to e-mail her to find out her secret, LOL.)

For those who had the $5.00 off $15.00 offer - normally those are only good on non-sale items, no? If that was the case with that particular offer, how did those who used it still end up coming out with so low of a an OOP total?

(I had the 30% off any non-sale item offer.)

I went to the smithfield CVS this morning and it was very crowded and the checkout line was long. The person in front of me did 2 transactions back to back and for the second transaction she just gave the clerk the whole register tape and she had to tear the coupons apart. I couldn't believe it. The clerk was very kind.

My husband just used one of the $5.00 off $15.00 coupons that I had emailed to me just last night! Great deal.

I have asked at the customer service counter of the HT at Falls/Durant before if they take ECBs and I was told no. This was several months ago. I mentioned that others have been able to use them and I was told they should not have been.

cspeed - I bought the free single roll and also bought the 8-pack that was on sale for $5. I also had a $1 coupon for the 8-pack making it $4. I you click on the picture above, you can clearly see the 8 rolls are packaged together and it says 8-pack. It's not as easy to see unless you click on the photo to make it larger.

The single roll paper towel deal was limit one. Looks like she also got a 4 pk. which would be a separate deal.

how did you buy 5 sparkle paper towels when there is a limit on 1 and you did 2 transactions?

bluebird1075 - that is a crazy good deal on the telescopes! Nice score!

  • bluebird1075 Nov 24, 2013

I went to CVS about 3:00 today and they weren't busy at all. While I was in there the sales clerk brought out some telescopes that were regular priced at 19.99 for sale for just $5.00! She said they had so many they wanted to get rid of so they put a great price on them. They had some other items that were priced good but, I didn't need those items. This was a CVS in Rocky Mount . 2 liter Pepsi products were .69 cents each & they were letting customers get 20 of those! Great deals!!

I got everything I wanted for free (and even made money on the visine!). There was no one in the store, and I was there at 12:30 in the afternoon! I was shocked. I honestly expected to get nothing since it was so late. Everyone was so nice and they even had a table set up in the front of the store with about 6 different items that were free with ECB's. It was awesome!
