Dr D - .30 per roll is a good deal! Thanks for all the details. I ended up buying the Angel Soft 9 pack at Walgreens today using the store and .45 coupons. Ended up being .28 a roll for the big rolls but they are a little smaller than the double rolls you got.

Dr D - I will check next time I go to CVS - good deal on the bounty towels !

  • Dr D May 31, 2015

I hear ya JDouglas! The math brain is why I carry a calculator with me at all times. As for my brain itself, well ... I forgot by the time of my post that I actually bought all 3 pkgs that were bonus-size 20 ct, so it was actually only .30 per double roll. Had to switch my usual ratio of 2 Ultra Soft & 1 Ultra Strong to vice versa to get all 3 larger packages. You could do even slightly better if you have access to more than one printer so you could print more than 2 of those .75 coupons.

I'm no help at all about make-up!

What is CVS's policy on makeup returns when the color isn't what you had hoped for? I seem to remember something from quite a while back that they will give you a refund. Is that correct?

  • jdouglas13 May 31, 2015

Thanks for the price breakdown on the Charmin, DrD. My math brain is not always what I'd like it to be! :p While I prefer mega rolls, I might take advantage of this if I don't find something better in the next few days. I know Target had a deal too, but I don't think the net price was as good.

  • Dr D May 31, 2015

Today I decided to splurge on Charmin, again a $10 cash card deal, because there's a $0.75 printable coupon on coupons.com and I had 2 of those, plus one for $0.35 from a while ago that was still valid. I was delighted to find 2 of my 3 double-roll sized packages were "bonus" sized 20 count rather than 16 count packages. $9.99 each x 3 = $29.97 - $10 cash card - (2)*.75 printables - .35 printable = .32 for each double roll. I like Charmin. Especially when it's on sale! :-)

LOSLTP, I didn't ask, but I'm sure on Sat. evening the CVS deals for that week must still be active. Also, I didn't ask what time on Sat. evening my CVS activated the next's deals, but if you usually shop on Sat evening and your store activates the new week early, maybe you could shop once for both weeks. :-)

  • losltp May 31, 2015

Dr D Were the prices for the current ad ( ending last night ) still valid as well ??
Thanks ! I tend to shop at CVS on Saturday evenings so I want to be sure I am will not be wasting a trip if deals I expect are no longer .

  • Dr D May 30, 2015

I phoned my CVS this evening to ask if they did "early activation" and they said yes, next week's ad deals were already activated in their system. So I bought 3 pkgs of Bounty paper towels, 12 ct., at $9.99 each = $29.97 and used the $1.50/3 Bounty/Charmin P&G MQ which is expiring today. After the $10 CVS cash card, this makes them $0.51 per roll, which is not bad for Bounty.

Nanee Lion - thanks for catching that! Typo on my part. It is supposed to be 2 for $3.50 for the 6 packs of Dial. Thanks! :-)
