Nikki - the Nexxus coupon in the RA ad will not scan at CVS. It's actually a RA coupon (even though it indicates manuf. coupon it is coded as a RA coupon) and CVS does not take competitor coupons so they won't take it.

Great deal, watchhillgirl! I hope I get the same coupon when I go later today. Thanks for the heads up.

I went into CVS to get the chex mix deal, and was ready to hand in the coupons above, when I realized the kiosk had kicked out a $2.00 off of $6.00 coupon of chips, cr*ckers and such. So I not only got the chex mix free, but it was a money maker! The $ amount is based on the price before your cvs rewards card I guess. I asked the girl if it was ok, and she said yes, it took it. :-)

There is a $5/$15 Nexxus coupon in the Rite Aid ad. Can I use that a CVS?

  • Dstned2BMe Jun 7, 2013

Thanks Faye! I thought that was the case but could not find it on the website. I probably read right over it and didn't see it! LOL

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Jun 7, 2013

Nope - you can;t use them on gift cards. Sorry, Dstnd. :-(

    From the CVS.com website:

" Excludes prescriptions, alcohol, gift cards, lottery, money orders, postage stamps, pre-paid cards and tobacco products. No cash back. Tax charged on pre-coupon price where required."

Faye, can you use ECBs on the purchase of gift cards?
