Unless a manufacturer's coupon says "only valid at..." then it is a regular manufacturer's coupon, and can be used anywhere that will accept it.

With that said, CVS's coupon policy states "CVS/pharmacy will not accept third party manufacturers’ coupons with another retailer’s logo"

Your cashier was correct. CVS does not take catalina manufacturer's coupons with other store logos on them.

I have a question...I tried to use my catalina coupon I got for buying the Kraft promotion at Lowes foods. Even though it was a manufacturer coupon, CVS would not take it. I've had the same problem with Lowes before giving me a hard time about taking any coupons that say HT on them, even though they are manufacturer's coupons. Was the cashier wrong or was she right that you can only use those at the grocery store that prints them?

  • nceducator79 Oct 13, 2013

It's $30 before coupons...so you can use coupons, ECB, CVS coupons, etc. to get the cost down. The 50% off item rings up that price, so that's the price that counts, as amysdc said.

  • meganbparks Oct 13, 2013

    That makes sense. Thank you!!!

  • amysdc Oct 12, 2013

I'm pretty sure it has to be $30 with the sale price included. The total ring up at the register has to be $30 or more including the sale price. BUT you can then use coupons or ECB to get the price down. SO if you total rang up to $30 and you had a coupon for 25% or 50% off then you could do it but not if it's just a sale price. Does that make sense... and anyone please correct me if I'm wrong. It's late.

Question :) When it says you get "$10 in extra bucks if you spend $30" Do I have to spend $30 after coupons?!? Or like if certain items are buy one get one 50% off. I've technically bought $30 worth of products but after the 50% off items come off I only pay out of pocket like 20 bucks- would I still get the $10 in extra bucks? Does that even make sense?! :)
