Customer Shot in Chest at Hillsborough Store

Hillsborough, N.C. — Authorities are investigating a shooting at a Orange County convenience store Wednesday night.
Investigators said the shooting occurred at around 6 p.m. in the parking lot of Lunsford's Red & White, located on Highway 70. Hillsborough police Lt. Davis Trimmer said the shooting was the result of an ongoing argument between acquaintances.
Tyrus Torain, 21, of Mebane, was shot in the chest, but he is expected to recover, according to authorities.
Authorities are looking for two people – 18-year-old Julius Evans and 21-year-old Jamal Scarborough – in connection with the incident. They were last seen in a late 1980s light-blue Honda Accord. Warrants have been issued for their arrest.
