Deputies: Customer shot Fayetteville auto shop owner
An automotive shop owner was shot by a customer Saturday morning, the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office said.
Posted — UpdatedLeslie Allen, 28, owner of Lucky’s Automotive at 3562 Gillespie Street in Fayetteville, was shot in the stomach by Elbert Terrell, 28, after a dispute over a car, deputies said.
The argument was over parts that were taken off a car that Terrell was interested in purchasing, deputies said.
Allen was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he underwent surgery for his non-life threatening gunshot wound.
Terrell was later arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. He was held at the Cumberland County jail Sunday under no bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Monday.
