— An automotive shop owner was shot by a customer Saturday morning, the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said.

Leslie Allen, 28, owner of Lucky’s Automotive at 3562 Gillespie Street in Fayetteville, was shot in the stomach by Elbert Terrell, 28, after a dispute over a car, deputies said.

The argument was over parts that were taken off a car that Terrell was interested in purchasing, deputies said.

Allen was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he underwent surgery for his non-life threatening gunshot wound.

Terrell was later arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury. He was held at the Cumberland County jail Sunday under no bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Monday.

Whatever happened to CONFLICT RESOLUTION? There should be classes in all schools to teach this as well as access to free and/or low cost conflict resolution materials. He just ruined his life over a car! Seriously.

Well, he did survive. Sounds lucky in that sense.

Separately, I'm just in utter disbelief how this and so many other petty incidents escalate into something so violent. Is our society going down the tubes or have I just been ignorant of all the senseless murders, attempted murders, rapes, robberies, etc. in past decades?

    that will show him.

I hope he gets no bond.

the owner of the shop might want to change the name of his shop, he does not sound lucky.
