Cumberland man robbed at gunpoint in front yard

Posted August 15, 2014

— Cumberland County authorities said Friday they are searching for two men who robbed a Fayetteville man at gunpoint as he stood in the front yard of his home on Thursday afternoon.

Carlton Seymour Bogle, 57, told deputies that he was outside his house on the 2200 block of Yale Street at about 4:30 p.m. when two men approached to inquire about a car for sale. One of the men then pulled out a handgun and demanded that Bogle hand over all of his money, and the men fled with Bogle's wallet, authorities said.

The pair was last seen heading toward Carlos Avenue, where they jumped a fence bordering another homeowner’s property, authorities said.

Bogle wasn't injured during the robbery.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office at 910-323-1500.

WRAL has more information than we do. Give the description of the two men and perhaps we can help.

We're not safe anywhere anymore, are we. smh
    Blessed this man wasn't hurt.
Prayers they get the miscreants who did this quickly, because they were armed and those who commit armed robbery often do hurt a victim eventually.
