Hope Mills, N.C. — Authorities are investigating a suspicious fire that damaged school buses in Cumberland County early Saturday, Hope Mills Fire Marshal Chief John Hodges said.
The buses were in a joint parking lot between South View Middle School and South View High School. Every weekend about 30 to 40 buses are parked in the lot.
One bus was destroyed and others received exterior fire damage, Hodges said. Some of the buses were vandalized.
No arrests have been made.
