Cumberland County man dies in motel shooting
A Cumberland County man was shot to death early Sunday at a Fayetteville motel, authorities said.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A homeless Cumberland County man was shot to death early Sunday at a Fayetteville motel, authorities said.
The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said deputies responded to the shooting just before 4 a.m. at the Carolina Motor Inn, 2533 Gillespie St.
The man, Kelvin Deon Jones, 27, was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
