Cumberland Co. offering free flu shots

The Cumberland County Department of Public Health is offering free flu shots to uninsured residents who are at least 6 months old.

Clinic hours are 8 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Friday hours are 8 to 11:30 a.m. and by appointment in the afternoon. The Health Department offers evening hours on Tuesdays at 7 p.m.

The clinics will be closed Thanksgiving and Friday.

The department is at 1235 Ramsey St. in Fayetteville. For more information, call the clinic at 910-433-3633 or 910-433-3657.

Medicaid, Medicare, NC Health Choice and Blue Cross Blue Shield or any third-party insurance plan will be billed. There is no out-of-pocket cost for patients with insurance.

Unless this country stole these shots, then it is not free. Just another finger in the eye of taxpayers who will be denied these shots even though they paid for them.
