WADE, N.C. — Cumberland County authorities released surveillance photos Wednesday of a man and woman wanted in connection with the May 2 assault of a Florida truck driver.

Wael Wael, of Jacksonville, Fla., was taken to a local hospital in the early morning hours Wednesday after a passer-by found him in the median of Goldsboro Road near Interstate 95.

The photos released by investigators show a man and woman at a local convenience store on the morning of the assault.

Authorities are also looking for a gray Mitsubishi Mirage with a rear spoiler, black grill protector and a bumper sticker on the front.
