One of the things Dennis Cox and myself aimed to do with the 'Culture State' podcast, was to simply show the 'other side' of the athletes, musicians, actors and taste makers that make North Carolina a special place. This week's episode is a great example of that.

NC Courage Forward Lynn Williams was gracious enough to join us on the podcast to talk about her experience at the 2020 Summer Olympics and her journey to becoming one of the best women's soccer players in the world.

Watching Williams play soccer since moving to this area has certainly been a treat for me, but talking to her even exceeded my expectations of what a sit down interview would be like. What an engaging and energetic personality she has!

In this interview, we learned a lot about Lynn off the field including her favorite foods, the books she likes to read and tattoo considerations after the Olympics. But she also gave an in depth view of what competition in the Olympics during a pandemic was like when she wasn't practicing or playing.

Now, you can actually hear the interview for yourself at the link below.
