Cruz headlines Raleigh luncheon

Raleigh, N.C. — Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz, a U.S. senator from Texas, will speak in Raleigh Monday. He is a guest of the conservative John Locke Foundation, which lists him on the invitation as "one of the most dynamic limited-government conservatives on the scene today."
Cruz, who was the first major party candidate to announce his intention to run for president in 2016, will address guest who paid $100 per ticket at noon at the North Raleigh Hilton.
