Cross Creek Mall to expand

print friendly

CBL & Associates Properties Inc. (NYSE: CBL) said Thursday that it will expand Cross Creek Mall in Fayetteville.

The 46,000-square-foot expansion will provide space for retailers such as Chico’s, LOFT, White House | Black Market, Men’s Wearhouse, Reed’s Jewelers and Lane Bryant, officials said. Construction is scheduled to begin early next year, with a grand opening anticipated in late fall.

“The expansion of Cross Creek Mall allows us to further the tremendous growth of one of our most successful and productive centers, as well as reinforce its dominant position in the market,” Michael Lebovitz, CBL's executive vice president for development and administration, said in a statement. “The mall continually maintains a full occupancy rate, and the queue of retailers interested in joining the center is growing."

Cross Creek Mall already has 1 million square feet of retail space and more than 150 retailers, including anchors by Belk, Macy’s JCPenney and Sears.

SORRIEST Mall in NC ,expanding will not help. need go to Hanes Mall in Winston-Salem if they want to see a real mall!!!

I am with you ED. I hate needing to drive 10 miles to get to anything other than a walmart. There needs to be more out here on the Ramsey St side. This side of town is growing so quickly and with that expantion it only means more congetstion in one spot. Why not break it up.

Why does Fayetteville continue to put stores on one side of town? Make no sense. Why not put more stores near Ramsey St? That area is surely growing. I am shame to say that I am from Fayetteville.
