WILSON, N.C. — For the second time in one week fire crews battled a blaze at the Bridgestone-Firestone plant in Wilson.

The fire broke out at about 6:15 p.m. Saturday in the duct work of the mixing department, according to a news release. The fire was extinguished in 30 minutes and no one was injured.

Just one week ago, eight people were treated for smoke inhalation and two people were sent to the hospital after a fire broke out at the plant's Banbury building.

It is unclear what caused the fire, which remains under investigation.

According to officials, no one was injured.
