Crews fight Johnston County brush fire

Posted — UpdatedGARNER, N.C. — Firefighters were battling a 15-acre brush fire on Cornwallis Road in Johnston County on Friday afternoon, officials said.
Michael Good, of the North Carolina Forestry Service, said the fire, which is near the intersection of Corwallis and Hillington roads, also extended partially into Wake County.
Wake and Johnston county fire departments were on the scene around 4 p.m.
No structures were threatened by the fire, Good said.
