CREEDMOOR, N.C. — City officials on Thursday said that Creedmoor residents could resume using water without boiling it first.

A water line on N.C. Highway 56 near the entrance to the Golden Pond subdivision ruptured Tuesday afternoon, the resulting loss of water pressure prompted officials to issue a boil advisory to residents and businesses from Ascot Drive to all areas east of Creedmoor, including businesses in the Food Lion Plaza.

The results of tests conducted on the water showed that no bacteria was present, officials said Thursday.
