Let's keep the amenities and priveledges of livng in a small town to ourselves please. Before we know it, the big city folks will be here in droves and there goes the neighborhood. My bet is the perp was not a local. Please stay out of Oxford. We have no banks, no stores, no gas stations, no wallets.....no money.

Believe it or not, we have three!

    Creedmoor has a bank?

  • wildcat Nov 18, 2010

How much money did the robber get?

  • wildcat Nov 18, 2010

May they catch these robbers soon. The kids are always safe in schools. The adults make sure of that.

I agree with the other parents. My kids were at Creedmoor Elem, but not anymore. Nice that they act so quickly! The Creedmoor PD was very good about letting the businesses around the bank aware of what was going on! Way to go Creedmoor PD and schools!!

My son is also in a Creedmoor school. I'm thankful that the schools were put on lockdown. Yes, his school is a little further down the road, but if the schools are on lockdown, the chances of the nearby schools being used as a hideout or having it turn into a hostage situation are limited.

I agree with (sthiggs). I'm greatful that they go beyond to try and protect our kids.... Thats my child in the elementary school. I'm sure most would feel the same if it were their own.

My son's school was part of the lockdown. Creedmoor is very small town, deep woods suround all three schools. The closest school is an elementary school and it is walking distance to the bank. The last bank robery at this bank the perps. ditched their car about one mile away at the middle school and took off in the woods. Sadly, rural areas don't feel bad things can happen in their own back yards. I am thankful the school system is trying to protect our children.

The schools are right up the road from the bank. (Walking distance) Better to be safe than sorry! I don't think anyone was hurt, and yes that bank has been "hit" several times.
