CARY, N.C. — Cary officials closed northbound Trinity Road at Chapel Hill Road at lunchtime Tuesday after a tractor-trailer crashed, spilling diesel from a broken fuel line.

The single-vehicle crash happened about 10 a.m., but details were not immediately released. Officials said multiple agencies were working to clean up the spilled fuel, and police were rerouting traffic.

Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area. The road is expected to reopen by the evening commute.
