Crash closes part of I-40 West near Garner
A vehicle crash has closed two our of three westbound lanes on Interstate 40 near Exit 309, or the exit to Garner near U.S. Route 70.

GARNER, N.C. — A vehicle crash closed two out of three westbound lanes on Interstate 40 near Exit 309, or the exit to Garner near U.S. Route 70 on Saturday.
As a result, traffic was also backed up on North Carolina Highway 42 near mile marker 312.
Officials expect traffic to be backed up in the area for a while, though the lanes reopened at around 3 p.m.
