Northbound I-85 reopens after Orange crash

— A crash involving an SUV and a utility truck closed both northbound lanes of Interstate 85 in Orange County for more than two hours Tuesday afternoon.

The crash occurred at about 1 p.m. near mile marker 168, which is about 2 miles west of the U.S. Highway 70 exit.

There was no immediate word on any injuries.

Both northbound lanes reopened by 3:30 p.m.

    I hope I'm wrong but they don't set a tent up beside the road unless there are serious injuries or fatality. Too many troopers on scene I'm afraid for a normal 2 car accident.

    I watched the video. They had to use the jaws of life and it appeared as though there was a fatality. Have a little compassion.

    Seriously? 2.5 hours to reopen an interstate after a two car accident?
    Did one of them contain a toxic cargo???
