Crabtree Valley Mall's Build-A-Bear Workshop closed Sunday for a big remodel.
The retailer, where kids can make their own stuffed animal, is expected to reopen in the middle of October, Crabtree's marketing director Christy Alphin tells me. The remodeled Build-A-Bear will have a new look and new technology. The retailer's website says the store is scheduled, right now, to open Oct. 11.
The Crabtree shop is the only Build-A-Bear in the Triangle. The Build-A-Bear at The Streets at Southpoint in Durham closed earlier this year and was replaced with a Vans shop this month.

If you need your Build-A-Bear fix before mid-October, the store at Cross Creek Mall in Fayetteville remains open.
