NC Walgreens accidentally gives out dose of saline instead of COVID-19 vaccine
Several people in Monroe, North Carolina will have to retake their COVID-19 shots because of a mix-up at a pharmacy.
Posted — UpdatedMONROE, N.C. — Several people in Monroe, North Carolina will have to retake their COVID-19 shots because of a mix-up at a pharmacy.
A Walgreens store in North Carolina said some people slated to get the COVID-19 vaccine actually received a dose of saline by mistake.
The pharmacy said it reached out to all the patients who were impacted and rescheduled their vaccines as soon as they were available to come back in. The patients affected will receive their second doses within an appropriate time frame.
Walgreens is still investigating to find out exactly what happened.
