HILLSBOROUGH, N.C. — A Hillsborough police officer was injured while responding to reports of a fight at a McDonald's Friday night.

Shortly before 11 p.m., some teenagers started fighting in the lobby of the restaurant on Churton Street, a McDonald's employee said. The fight broke out after a local high school football game.

An officer hit the curb with his cruiser and struck two other cars in the McDonald's parking lot, the worker said.

Police said the officer was taken to a local hospital, but said they were not authorized to release more information about the officer's injuries Saturday morning.

Police said that they made no arrests and that no one else was injured in the fight.
