CoolKidz winners announced, more giveaways with Go Ask Mom

I've heard back from three of the four winners of our CoolKidz Expo giveaway.

Congratulations to Kim from Cary, who won our grand prize of four tickets to this weekend's expo, VIP seats to the Rusty Bucket TV show premiere, guaranteed auditions for the show and a goody bag.

Erica of Smithfield, Karen of Cary and Kathy of Apex were our three runners-up.

And of course I'm going to have some other great prizes for those who just take the time to stop by and see me this weekend at the expo. I'll be there from about 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Besides chocolate and some cute little gifts ... I'll have three family four packs of tickets to the Museum of Life and Science in Durham to give away.

The giveaway is just in time for you to plan a trip the museum for Bear Awareness Week from May 16 to May 22. Visitors can see Yona, the museum's newest bear, and learn more about bears and the issues they face at daily chats with the keepers at 2 p.m. during the week. There also will be a screening of the movie "Bear Facts" at 3 p.m. May 16.

The winners will be emailed after the expo and their names will be posted on the site.

And I also have five copies of the PG-rated movie "Finn on the Fly" starring Ana Gasteyer (remember her from Saturday Night Live?) I'll give away three movies on Saturday and two on Sunday to the first people who come up to me at the Expo and say "I want my free movie."

The CoolKidz Expo is Saturday and Sunday at the downtown Raleigh Convention Center. Come see me and get your free stuff!
