Cool, dry air filtered into central North Carolina Sunday after strong to severe thunderstorms on Saturday dumped more than 2 inches of rain on parts of the Triangle.
Posted — UpdatedRALEIGH, N.C. — Cool, dry air filtered into central North Carolina Sunday after strong to severe thunderstorms on Saturday dumped more than 2 inches of rain on parts of the Triangle.
Sunday morning started off muggy, but as a cold front moved in, some of the humidity dissipated and temperatures stayed below the 90-degree mark in most of the viewing area.
Temperatures in the Triangle will dip into the low 60s overnight Monday and some areas to the north could see lows in the upper 50s.
Monday will be dry and mostly sunny, with a high of 85. The chance for isolated showers and storms returns Tuesday.
