— A convicted sex offender and habitual felon is facing charges for raping a child.

Billy Williams, 49, of Raleigh was arrested Tuesday and charged with sexually molesting an 11-year-old girl.

Williams was convicted of similar charges in the early 1990s and sentenced to eight years in jail.

He was being held Tuesday afternoon at the Wake County Jail on a $2 million bond.

KNOWING WHY HE WAS IN JAIL THE FIRST 8 YEARS,,,WHO IN THERE RIGHT MIND WOULD LEAVE THEIR 8 YR OLD AROUND HIM IN THE FIRST PLACE? DID THEY NOT THINK HE WOULDNT DO IT AGAIN? HE HAS SOME PROBLEMS..THIS IS JUST SICK! HE SHOULDNT HAVE BEEN LET OUT THE FIRST TIME.

Why was he even out after the first time to begin with? They are never cured. He will always do this to our kids!!! Castration is a good start and let the public know. Maybe if sex offenders knew that was coming they would think twice!

Funny, Billy keeps getting older, and the girls stay young. Prisons are made for men like this, IF he is allegedly, presumed innocent until proven, guilty.

THIS MAN WONT STOP SO GIVE HIM LIFE

  • fbguru Sep 17, 2008

I hope the judge in this case will sentence him to life without parole, after castration. Let HIM be the victim for the rest of his life in prison, that is if he makes it past the first year without being killed.

Castration? Are you serious? What about his hands, eyes? Going to "castrate" them too?

25 years? Are you serious? That simply increases the time between attacks.

Replace the laws. Life - Period - No chance of parole. The "right" persons child hasn't been molested yet in North Carolina for REAL action to take place!

I disagree. The chair is more appropriate.

I agree, Rev. RB. Think this calls for castration. Problem solved.

Thats why this keeps happening, lock him up for good this time. Jail time must not bother this man at all, he probably likes it.

jvjohnson - "since jail time didn't work how about getting out a knife and removing the "problem areas" that he can't keep to himself!"

That would be a start, but this usually isn't because of sex; it's usually control. Somewhere in their life there was an adult woman they couldn't control. Maybe their mother or grandmother was especially strong or domineering. Adult women intimidate them still, so they turn to children.

25 years to life for sexual crimes, with no possibility of parole. PERIOD!!!

    God bless.

    Rev. RB
