Contractor out of hospital after fall into Sanford silo
A contractor who fell into a silo of dog food in Sanford Monday afternoon was treated for a dislocated shoulder and bruises and released from the hospital, police said.

Mike Goodman, who works for Alabama-based B&R Services, was discharged from WakeMed on Tuesday. He is headed back to Alabama, police said.
Sanford Fire Chief Wayne Barber said Monday that Goodman accidentally stepped on the lid to a grain chute, fell about 40 feet down the chute shaft and became trapped in the silo at the H.J. Baker & Brothers Inc. plant on McNeill Road.
His leg got caught in a drilling device and he was up to his waist in dog food.
After a complicated three-hour rescue effort involving more than 60 emergency crews, Goodman was removed from the silo, Barber said.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating.
