Construction planned on NC 147 this weekend
The left lane of N.C. 147 north will be closed from Briggs Avenue to just past the Duke Street exit this weekend as work continues on a $4.2 million N.C. Department of Transportation project.

DURHAM, N.C. — The left lane of N.C. Highway 147 north will be closed from Briggs Avenue to just past the Duke Street exit this weekend as work continues on a $4.2 million North Carolina Department of Transportation project.
Weather permitting, the lane will close at 7 p.m. Friday and reopen Monday at 6 a.m. as crews replace concrete slabs and continue diamond grinding operations. All ramps and loops will remain open throughout the weekend.
Motorists should be on the lookout for signs and construction information in the area.
